Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre
There’s no better place to enjoy a baseball game and a beer than by watching the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre, home of the first retractable roof. You should be able to pick up outfield or bleacher tickets on game day, unless former Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay and the Philadelphia Phillies are coming to town (June 15-17, 2012), in which case you’ll have some trouble finding tickets.

Caribana Parade 2012
The Scotiabank Caribana Festival, the largest parade of its kind outside of the Caribbean, shuts down a portion of Lake Shore Boulevard West in order to accommodate the reggae rhythms and jump-up jigs of the parade performers. Scheduled from July 10 to August 6, 2012 (with the parade on August 4), the Caribana Festival attracts spectators from all across North America. Many of the events are free.
These events are all happening outdoors throughout the city, so the emphasis is effortless, metropolis cool. For guys, flat-top black shades with bad-ass detailing are where it’s at. Try the “G-Money” shades from Chrome Hearts…guarenteed to have the ladies thinking you ARE the band!
And for the ladies? Focus on classic but unique shapes that will be effortless. Salt’s “Caden” is a modern spin on Audrey Hepburne that will have you looking like a super-star.
The NBA Playoffs vs High End Frames
For years, the NBA has been synonymous with style, culture, and trend setting. From Allen Iverson’s generation defining cornrows, to the craze over getting those new pairs of Jordan brand sneakers. It’s hard to deny how seamlessly fashion and the NBA blend together. With the growth in popularity of glasses becoming a fashion accessory, the NBA has found a new trend to jump onto. Such stars as Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Carmelo Anthony are all sporting stylish frames during their post-game interviews.
Check out the video below of Carmelo Anthony wearing some very fashionable frames:
Frame of the day: Chrome Hearts-Pork Sword
Like any pair of Chrome Hearts frames there’s an element of biker chic found in these classic aviator shapes, which give them a decidedly edgy look. Engraved with crosses on the metal temples, these “Pork Sword” sunglasses boast polarized tinted glasses, metal and tortoise acetate arms, and engraved solid silver daggers. These shades are so cool, you’ll want to wear them even when there’s no sun in sight.
What Will You Do With An Extra Day??
It comes once every four years, and adds another day to the calendar. That’s right, February 29th is back! It cane be remembered for a day where: Gordie Howe recorded his 800th goal, Hank Aaron became the first MLB player to sign a $200,000 contract, and the acclaimed Family Circus comic strip made its debut. There is another February 29th soon approaching, so what will you do with your day? Our suggestion…since it’s getting bright and warmer out, why not come down to Gafas and check out our new selection of sunglasses. Get the newest styles from the hottest brands (Entourage of 7, Chrome Hearts, Barton Perreira, Mykita, Gucci, Christian Dior, Tom Ford, Paul Frank) before anyone else does! We hope to see you soon!!
