During the Dior Spring-Summer 2012 Campaign you can see the amazing fashion sunglasses “DIOR Summerset”. This isa prime example of fashion eyewear, a rounded frame in acetate which was inspired by the 50’s. Grey and cream elements on the frame are working for a bas-relief effect. The stems are adorned with tortoise metal logo “Dior”. The lenses in shades of gray are guaranteed by “Carl Zeiss” quality with maximum eye-protection.

We had a blast with our friends and clients last night for The Summer Pop-Up Shop here @ Gafas. And how could we have not? We were surrounded by people we care about, listening to good tunes courtesy of Katiya’s IPod, sippin’ Vitamin Water courtesy of the company who were kind enough to sponsor the event, and supporting up-and-coming local designers.

It’s July which means the temperatures have been soaring and the beach is becoming our favorite place again! In honor of the best part of the year in frigid Canada, we’re bringing you the hottest trends in swimwear complete with our favorite shades. The fierce trend rocks the blog today…
It is completely unnecessary to have a hood on your swimsuit….which is why we think you should! Instead of wearing a hat and getting hat head, you could just pull up the hood to protect your scalp from the harsh sun. Other uses for the hood: coyly hiding behind it’s shroud, covering up the fact that you just got algae caught in your hair, lookin’ cool, and transitioning this swimsuit into a body suit (with bottoms of some sort of course … please wear pants) on your way to wherever after the beach! Thank you American Apparel for making this most awesome and ridiculous swimsuit!
To carry on with that uber-cool and tough vibe (we are taking this look to the dark side) we are flipping for the Alexander Wang Kirsten tote bag which carries on with the unnecessary-but-awesome theme with all the straps (get at Jonathan and Olivia on Ossington). Seeing as we’re going for over-the-top, heels are most definitely vital to look even more impractical on the boardwalk. The higher the heel, the closer to perfection and these Camilla Skovgaard Hammer Stilletos (available at Holt Renfrew) might just take you a bit past that. With all the great pieces that make up this killer outfit, go minimal with the jewellery (after all, it IS the beach) and snag this Speech Jewellery bolt necklace at Carte Blanche.
